1. To whom should I send my resume?
If you believe you have the qualities that we are seeking, you should submit a short resume and academic results to or complete an online application form.

2. What may I expect at an interview?
If you have been selected for an interview at Speed and Stracey, you will meet with one of our Directors. The initial interview is a friendly one-on-one conversation, aimed at providing you with a background about Speed and Stracey and what to expect as an employee.

Friendly questions regarding your background and resume will be asked during the initial interview and we encourage thoughtful responses. There are no formal tests nor complicated legal questions asked at the initial interview. Our aim is two-fold. First, to learn about you and second for you to learn about us.

The interview process may require more than one visit with our Directors. Once again there are no formal tests to be completed, but standard interview questions may be asked in the second and possibly third round interviews.

After the interview process has been completed we will contact you with our response.

3. What is the Speed and Stracey culture?
We believe that the "Speed and Stracey Way" provides a culture which distinguishes us from other law firms. This involves maintaining a 1:1 ratio of one senior lawyer to one associate on each matter. This ratio has allowed our associates to take a substantial responsibility almost immediately and has avoided the hierarchical assignment structures that prevails at more leveraged firms.

Each associate will be trained to become a Director of Speed and Stracey. This unusual ratio also gives each associate the opportunity to work directly with the Directors in an informal and non-structured atmosphere.

The intellectually-charged environment at Speed and Stracey encourages hands-on training and the development of close working relationships among lawyers of the firm and with clients. Work between the senior lawyers and associates are conducted in a friendly and co-operative manner. Speed and Stracey takes pride in its professionalsm and strives to achieve the results sought by the client, without arrogance.
