  • Providing ongoing tax advice to large private groups and high wealth individuals, and advising on high value, one-off transactions.
  • Advising foreign investors into Australia in relation to Managed Investment Trust and dividend / interest withholding tax, Australian capital gains and income tax, and business / investment structuring.
  • Tax and structuring advice for a number of managed funds, pooled investment entities and investors in Australia, the US, the Netherlands, the Cayman Islands, and numerous other jurisdictions.
  • Advising on taxation disputes including liaison with tax officers, preparation of objections and conduct of litigation.
  • Advising on and responding to ATO risk reviews, audits, requests for information and exercise of coercive powers.
  • Establishing and providing ongoing advice to a number of non-profit Deductible Gift Recipients, Charitable Institutions, private funds and to various industry representative bodies.
  • Obtaining private tax rulings from the ATO.
  • GST and stamp duty advice arising from various commercial transactions.
  • Preparation of a variety of commercial documents, including joint ventures, managed funds, trusts, various sponsorship and intellectual property agreements and general company transactions.
